The Importance of Deselecting Google Search 'Display Network'
The Default Setting Trap
When creating a new Google Search campaign, Google automatically checks the box to include the "Google Display Network" (GDN). Leaving this checked is one of the most common and costly mistakes a business can make.
Fraudulent Websites and Click Fraud
The Display Network places your text ads on millions of third-party websites, apps, and YouTube videos. Unfortunately, many of these placements are on low-quality or even fraudulent websites designed specifically to monetize through accidental or fraudulent clicks.
Your search ads are designed for users actively searching for your services with high intent. Display ads interrupt users who are reading articles or playing games. The intent is completely different, and the traffic quality from GDN in a search campaign is almost always abysmal. Always deselect the Display Network to protect your budget.
